BVM-L230 : 23-inch Full-HD
Reference LCD Broadcast Monitor
The BVM-L230 reference LCD monitor supersedes the market leading BVM-A series CRT models, heralding a new era in broadcast post-production, D-Cinema production, evaluation and mastering. LCD displays are increasingly replacing CRT monitors in the professional arena due to increased operational flexibility and lower overall ownership cost. And in the BVM-L230 you will find a no-compromise, state-of-the-art product – the market's most advanced LCD reference monitor. With unprecedented performance and accuracy rivalling the best CRT monitors, the new BVM-L230 displays Full-HD Native 1920×1080 resolution. The LCD screen has a high frame rate capability and a 10-bit driver for smooth greyscale and colour transitions. It also benefits from a newly developed Precision Backlight system utilising High Purity LEDs – this delivers wide reference-standard colour space, superb uniformity control and exceptional colour stability. The BVM-L230 features a new Signal Processing Engine employing 12-bit accuracy, a new Interlace / Progressive Scan algorithm with remarkably little video delay, and a new highly accurate and consistent colour management system. It also sports a new picture-in-picture and blend mode plus a new pixel zoom function for greater user flexibility. The BVM-L230 accepts a wide range of video formats up to 1080/60p and a broad range of PC formats from VGA to WUXGA (1920×1200). It also supports a number of other video formats including 2048×1080/24p for D-Cinema use, so future compatibility with increasingly sophisticated applications is assured; and it provides for dual link HD-SDI digital signals such as 12-bit 4:4:4 XYZ 2048×1080/24psf, where the highest possible HD quality is required. With its exceptional performance and the clear LCD advantages of light weight, reduced depth and outstanding installation flexibility, the BVM-L230 is a deserving successor to top-flight CRT broadcast reference monitors.
