Avid Symphony Nitris System test.

There is no Avid System Test for version 1.0.2, however with version 1.5.x you will find the Avid Test Engine for Avid Nitris Hardware in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Avid\Utilities\Diagnostics\ATE\
Read the instructions in that folder then launch RunAvidTestEngine.bat
there are 3 types of tests,
Hera Loopback: Tests the PCI Cards and the HD Board in the Nitris DNA
Zeus Loopback: Tests the PCI Cards and the SD board in the Nitris DNA
Internal PCI Test: just tests the PCI Cards.
if you are going to run a loopback test they should be run one at a time, and have ONLY the loopback cable for that test and the System Cable plugged into the DNA.

If you want to just test the boards inside the CPU, do not enable the Zeus or Hera Loopback tests.
When the test is complete, you must go to the File Menu and choose the option to save the log. a log is not automaticaly generated or saved on completion of the test. if you close the application without first saving the log, you’ll have to run the test again.
This revision for the Avid Test Engine application can be run to check against known good configurations for Symphony Nitris 1.5.x.

For Avid DS Nitris v.8.0, the Avid Test Engine requires QFE 1 to match the required Avid Nitris DNA 1161 firmware update. If you run the application on previous versions of Avid DS, you may get inconsistent results.

Earlier versions of Symphony Nitris should be fine, but may require you to re-flash your Nitris Firmware by re-launching the Symphony Nitris Application.
Once the test is finished and the log is saved you may look in the log file for ERRORs and FAIL. most of the time the log will give you suggestions of what should be done, such as reseating the flex cables between the Codec and the Base board.
