Note importante concernant la capacité et le type de RAM intégrés dans les stations HP xw8400. Dans le cadre d'un workflow DNxHD, et ce dans un souci de performance, il est désormais primordial d'intégrer les HPxw8400 avec 4GB de RAM (4* 1GB seulement, pas de mixité dans les capacités de RAM). Ce point technique s'associe autant en stockage local qu'en stockage partagé.
Important xw8400 Configuration Requirement:
· New RAM Requirement for HP xw8400 on MediaNetwork v5.0. Avid has previously required a minimum of 3GB RAM for editors running Avid DNxHD resolutions on shared or local storage. A performance issue has been found on the HP xw8400 CPUs when using a combination of 1GB and 512MB memory modules to reach this RAM capacity (for both SD & Avid DNxHD resolutions). This issue manifests itself most often with Avid DNxHD resolutions during ingest. For best performance on Avid Unity MediaNetwork 5.0, Avid has increased the RAM requirement on the HP xw8400 platform to 4GB, installed as (4) 1GB DIMMs. DIMMs may be purchased from the editing system price guides. The RAM requirement for other platforms is not being changed at this time.
