Les CPU HP XW8000 non validés sur les versions 2.7 Avid Media Composer v2.7, Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 , Avid NewsCutter Adrenaline v6.7, and Av

Avid vient d'annocer en fin de semaine dernière la disponibilité des nouvelles versions Avid Media Composer v2.7, Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 , Avid NewsCutter XP v6.7, Avid NewsCutter Adrenaline v6.7, and Avid Symphony Nitris v1.7. Ces versions ammènent quelques inovations interessantes, comme le support d'une nouvelle resolution HD DNxHD36 (ce qui permet de prendre très peu de place sur les disques durs), le supports des Mac Intel, ou encore l'Avid Script Sync… Néanmoins, il est a souligner que les Avid annonce que les HPXW8000 (premiers CPU à avoir été livrés sous adrenaline) risquent d'être un peu "limites" coté ressources. (Avid Media Composer v2.7, Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 , Avid NewsCutter XP v6.7, Avid NewsCutter Adrenaline v6.7, and Avid Symphony Nitris v1.7).

New features include support for the new Avid DNxHD36 codec providing full frame 16×9 HD images at just 36Mb/sec, the powerful Avid ScriptSync™ technology which revolutionizes script-based editing by allowing automatic synchronization of text script with source footage, and support for Intel on Mac.
As a valued customer of an Avid based editing system, we are writing to let you know that certification of the Hewlett Packard xw8000 Workstation has been delayed.  If you are a user of the HP xw8000 platform please read on.
Avid Technology, Inc. has decided to release version x.7 prior to finalizing the HP xw8000 certification. Avid continues to test the xw8000 in support of our installed base of customers.   As testing is finalized we will update the Avid website with xw8000 information.  Xpress Pro and Media Composer supported configurations can be found at http://www.avid.com/products/media-composer/editor/specs.asp.  Xpress Pro supported configurations can be found at http://www.avid.com/products/xpresspro/specs.asp . 
Why has the HP xw8000 certification been delayed?  The HP xw8000 Workstation was last shipped by Hewlett Packard in December of 2004.   As a reseller of Hewlett Packard systems Avid's last shipment also occurred at that time.  As you know editing functionality continues to evolve based on your requirements and as a result certain new application features may not be supported on older CPUs such as the HP xw8000 Workstation.  Avid continues to test and confirm functionality on this model.
What can you do?  HP xw8000 customers interested in continuing to utilize the HP xw8000 should wait for updated qualification details prior to installation.  These details are expected to be available by April 30th, 2007. Until that time, Avid recommends staying with either vX.5 or vX.6 of your editing application.  Customers interested in immediately using x.7 editing application can upgrade to an Avid qualified system at these links:
